This is probably one of the best fruit beers i've had. The flavor is not over the top, it is very well balanced into the beer itself. A nice blueberry top note with, a standard lager finish, and a bit of a lingering blueberry after taste. I was pleasantly surprised with this one, I had it just in time for the local blueberry fest here in my home town as well (it must be blueberry season?).
This is NOT a shitty piss water lager, trying to hide its "shittyness", or be more cost effective by putting it in a blender with blueberry pancake syrup, and calling it a blueberry fruit beer. In other words this is NOT wild blue. This is a real beer, and its real good!
I have yet to be disappointed by Rivertown products, I will be having a few more write ups on some of their good porters in the near future. October is approaching, and soon all the beers everywhere will be pumpkin or "oktober fest", so expect a Rivertown write up on their pumpkin ale soon as well.
